The main character of Bleach; Ichigo is a substitute Shinigami who initially borrowed Rukia's power. Since then, Ichigo has unlocked and learned how to use Zangetsu while developing a close bond with him.
A Shinigami from the 13th division, and the sister of Kuchiki Byakuya. She is skilled in various types of Kidou, for disabling enemies, and currently on a mission to the real world.
Classmate and companion of Ichigo; while shy and timid, Orihime possesses mystical powers beyond the understanding of shinigami or hollows. Her powers allow her to negate or reject opposing powers that might harm her friends.
Ichigo's close friend; Sado's origins come from Mexico where he was taught never to harm others unless absolutely necessary. Sado's powers resemble those of a Hollow, and the more he charges his attack up, the more powerful it becomes.
Originally designed by Soul Society to be an Anti-Hollow artificial soul, Kon somehow escaped destruction and now serves as a faithful, yet perverted, friend of Ichigo. Kon is able to control Ichigo's human body in order to deliver surprisingly powerful physical attacks.
Popular spirit medium of a Japanese television show. While lacking the strength of Shinigami, Don Kanonji is able to release small but deadly amounts of reiatsu through his hands to attack his enemies.
The last known Quincy is a calm and collected character who is able to analyze any situation. Uryuu's Quincy skills allow for amazing defensive and offensive abilities.
A manual labor worker for Urahara; although Jinta appears to be just a normal red haired boy, he can hold his own in combat. Jinta fights with an unorthodox weapon, an over sized iron bat that is capable of inflicting physical wounds on the enemy.
Kisuke Urahara's shop assistant; although Ururu seems meek and fragile, her level is that of an anti-shinigami fighter. She is capable of producing insanely powerful attacks to knock out her enemies.
Long time friend and worker for Kisuke Urahara; Tessai is secretly an ex-Shinigami and ex-Captain of the Kidou Corps. Tessai has knowledge of the strongest Kidou spells, able to bind and crush an enemy with ease.
A hollow in the shape of a jellyfish, Numb Chandelier is a nimble, cruel being who enjoys watching her enemies fight each other. Using her seeds, Numb Chandelier can control her enemies and hinder their abilities.
A hollow who has eluded Shinigami for over 50 years due to its amazing decoy skills. Grand Fisher is able to use a special angler to distract his enemies and then lure them into a trap.
A unique form of hollow created specially by Aizen as a precursor to the arrancar; Metastacia's cruel nature translates to his abilities. Metastacia can slow enemies with his sealing tentacles or absorb them with his special skills.
A unique hollow made entirely of sand; Runuganga serves as the guardian of the white sands in Las Noches. Being made of sand, Runuganga has strong regenerative powers, along with being able to trap enemies in endless sand traps.
A mysterious and special hollow, Hooleer acts as a sort of king to the lesser hollows. Hooleer is able to summon large amounts of Gillian class hollows along with protecting his allies via the usage of Negacion.
The youngest sibling of the Shiba family. Ganju is skilled in using both explosives and unique skills to trap and defeat his enemies.
Elder sister of Ganju; Kuukaku is a master of fireworks due to her powerful fire abilities. Kuukaku is able to use a variety of high level reiatsu based skills to hinder her enemies.
The 7th seated officer and leader of the 14th advanced relief team of the 4th division. Hanatarou's unique Zanpakutou allows him to drain the wounds of his allies and send them back to the enemy in a crimson wave.
Seated officer of the 11th division. Although he is only the 5th seat, Yumichika's abilities are far greater than those of most lieutenants. Seldom used; his Zanpakutou allows him to drain both health and reiatsu from his enemies.
The 3rd seated officer of the 11th division. Ikkaku, like his captain, loves fighting to the death. Using his triple sectioned spear, Ikkaku can deal heavy damage to enemies while blocking their attacks.
The Lieutenant of the 2nd Division under Soifon; Omaeda is a large man that comes from a wealthy house in Soul Society. Using his Zanpakutou, Omaeda has a variety of abilities that allow him to block attacks or damage the enemy.
Lieutenant of the 3rd division and serving under Ichimaru Gin. Kira hides the effects of his Zanpakutou from others, but unleashes it when the need to defend himself or his close allies arises.
Lieutenant of the 4th Division; Isane shares a passion with her Captain involving the healing and protection of her allies. Using various kidou abilities, Isane can track her enemies while improving the coordination between her team.
As lieutenant of the 5th Division, Momo has close ties with her captain Aizen; to the point of obsession. Momo's Zanpakutou amplifies her already strong reiatsu powers allowing her to send out fireballs to her enemies or confuse them with powerful kidou spells.
Lieutenant of the 6th division; Renji is short tempered and will not hesitate to put his friends above his duties. Renji has mastered his shikai allowing for a variety of long and short range attacks to deal devastating damage and defend his team.
Lieutenant of the 9th division, Hisagi is a serious, calm shinigami devoted to his duties and squad. Hisagi employs a very versatile shikai, allowing him to adjust to any situation at hand.
Lieutenant of the 10th division, Rangiku is one of the more attractive, but still lazy, shinigami members. Her unique Zanpakutou allows her to strike the enemy and trap them, while defending her team and allowing them to strategize.
Lieutenant of the 12th division; Nemu was created by her father, Kurotsuchi Mayuri, to do his bidding. Nemu follows orders without fail. She also gives her allies the advantage in battle by sacrificing herself against enemy attacks.
Former Lieutenant and head of day to day operations of the 13th division, Kaien uses Nejibana to crush his foes under the pressure of water and aid his allies with clever tactics.
Captain of the 2nd division and leader of the special forces. Using her agility and poisoning Zanpakutou, Soifon is able to bring about a quick death to her enemies.
Captain of the 3rd Division; Gin has been described as "Fox-Faced" due to his constant smiling and closed eyes. His Zanpakutou allows him to attack enemies from range while piercing through defenses.
Captain of the 5th Division; Aizen carries the respect of all Soul Society, however, he also carries secret ulterior motives. Aizen's Kyouka Suigetsu allows him to fool his opponents with unstoppable illusions. He is also able to use Kidou spells up to level 90 without incantations.
Head of the Kuchiki house and captain of the 6th division; Byakuya boasts mastery of Kidou and unsurpassed speed. Byakuya can mix his Kidou with his Shikai for devastating results.
Captain of the 7th division; Komamura is a towering figure who almost always wears a helmet to hide his true face. Komamura is able to overwhelm his enemies with his powerful Shikai attacks, which are able to cause massive destruction.
Captain of the 8th Division; a peace loving, eccentric man, Kyouraku prefers sleeping and drinking sake to fighting. In battle, it is his Zanpakutou that truly does the battle, creating rules and forcing the enemy to follow them.
Captain of the 9th division; Tousen, while blind, can use his honed sense of reiatsu to sense everything around him. Tousen's abilities can trap all enemies in darkness and rain hundreds of needles upon them.
Captain of the 10th division and the youngest captain ever in the history of Soul Society. Hitsugaya carries the strongest ice based Zanpakutou, which allows him to disable enemies with freezing ice abilities.
Captain of the 11th division; Kenpachi is the only captain in the history of Soul Society to become a captain without knowing the name of his Zanpakutou. Kenpachi is able to withstand virtually any damage while dealing out powerful attacks, due to his high reiatsu.
Captain of the 12th division; Mayuri's personality is cruel and sadistic resulting in a love of torturing his research subjects. Mayuri is able to perform various types of afflictions with his Zanpakutou along with a devious technique that uses his allies as bait to deal damage.
The 13th Division Captain, Ukitake is a caring, determined leader, but is often rendered helpless due to his frail body. However, when functioning, Ukitake's powers allow him to absorb enemy attacks to raise his own strength and shield his allies with powerful seals.
Final Form Uryuu
Having reached the limits of his normal abilities, Uryuu breaks off his Sanrei Glove as a last resort move to reach the Quincy Final Form. In this new form, Uryuu is capable of subjugating the spirit particles around him as fuel for his new power.
The owner of the Urahara Shop; Urahara is a mysterious figure with an even more mysterious past. Urahara is capable of impressive defensive and offensive abilities with his Zanpakutou while using his cleverness to disable the enemy.
Former captain of the 2nd division; Yoruichi is known by many as the Goddess of Flash. Her superior flash step skills allow her to swiftly attack enemies, while making it impossible for them to hit her.
The father of Ishida Uryuu and the strongest Quincy alive; unlike his son, Ryuuken has inherited and mastered every Quincy power known to Quincy kind. Ryuuken's total mastery of the Quincy bow allows him to perform damage varying abilities and to unlock his allies latent potential.
After the events of Aizen's betrayal, Rukia managed to get her powers back to what they used to be. With her ice based Zanpakutou and Kidou prowess, Rukia can disable her enemies in a variety of ways.
Realizing that his powers were too weak to protect those he cared about, Sado went off to train with Kisuke Urahara in secret. Sado has now not only improved his old arm's ability, but has gained a new ability in his other arm, capable of amazing power and defense.
Having lost his previous Quincy powers, Uryuu turned to his father to help him regain them through arduous training. Thanks to this training Uryuu has regained his old abilities, and has gained some new abilities as well.
After the betrayal of his captain, Kira has become depressed; but he must fight to protect Karakura Town regardless. No longer is Kira fighting for his captain, now, he fights for his allies, using offensive and defensive skills that work around his team.
Having been rehabilitated, Aizen's brainwashing over Momo has been removed, and she once again sets out to help her allies. With her mind intact, Momo is able to show her true Kidou abilities, from trapping enemies to saving allies.
Hueco Mundo Byakuya
After his last fight with Ichigo, Byakuya has now improved both his Kidou and Zanpakutou abilities. Byakuya is able to trap his enemies in his Zanpakutou dealing high damage and disrupt them with effective Kidous.
Having achieved Bankai due to Yoruichi's special training, Ichigo's abilities are now a hundred times what they once were. Ichigo's improved flash steps and Zanpakutou allow him to deal powerful damage, but when Ichigo's situation becomes desperate, control of his body is taken over by another force.
Having been pushed to his absolute limits, Ikkaku releases his bankai. While his bankai does not augment his defense, kidou, or speed, and does not give him any special abilities, it grants him a nearly unsurpassable level of strength that cannot be stopped.
Having learned bankai, Renji is able to unleash Baboon King Zabimaru on his enemies. Baboon King Zabimaru is able to engage all enemies while providing a hardened defense.
While primarily a stealthy assassin that uses tactics and strategy to overcome her enemy, Soifon's Bankai changes that completely. While in Bankai, Soifon has but only one tactic: annihilate the enemy with brute power.
Being forced into Bankai in order to defeat Ichigo, Byakuya now has access to abilities most shinigami only dream about. Using different forms of Senbonzakura, Byakuya can attack his enemies in many different ways while giving himself powerful defenses.
Staring down at his former comrade, now turned bitter enemy, Komamura releases his Bankai, summoning a giant warrior golem. In Bankai, Komamura can perform highly destructive attacks, or focus all his efforts on one enemy to crush them to the ground.
Despite being the youngest captain, Hitsugaya is no push over, especially not during his Bankai. In Bankai, Hitsugaya has full access to all manner of ice based techniques that he can employ to combat his enemies.
Being forced into Bankai in order to finish his enemy, Mayuri is now a force to be reckoned with. By distracting his enemies with his monstrous Bankai, Mayuri is able to release deadly poison clouds and aid his team with powerful drugs.
Arrancar number 15, Grimmjow's fraccion, and elder brother of the 8th Espada. For a fraccion of his level, Yylfordt possesses a high amount of reiatsu and defensive abilities capable of matching a Bankai.
13th Arrancar and fraccion of Grimmjow, Edrad is a skilled tactician despite his appearance. Edrad's powers revolve around fire and enhanced reiatsu allowing him to deal a sizable amount of damage to his enemies.
One of the guardians of Las Noches; while fairly un-intelligent, Demoura is large and powerful. While brutally strong in his own right, Demoura is also capable of harnessing reiatsu around his hand and disrupting the use of it on his enemies.
One of the gatekeepers of Las Noches; Aisslinger has abandoned his human form for more power. As a gatekeeper, he has the ability to trap his enemies while reigning down on them bullets of reiatsu.
A lowly arrancar and close friend of Loly Aivirrne that acts as an aide to Aizen. Menoly does not have the power or reiatsu of other arrancars, so she has to rely on dangerous, suicidal tactics to get the job done.
One of the lower ranked Arrancars under Aizen, and a close friend to Menoly Mallia. Loly specializes in a variety of poison and affliction based attacks that cripple the enemy until they rot.
Arrancar number 11, leader of Grimmjow's fraccion, and one of the more intelligent and analytical of the fraccions. In his released form, Shawlong's claws are sharp enough to devastate any enemy and remove any affliction.
The loyal follower and fraccion of the 5th Espada, Nnoitra. Tesla is a unique fraccion, in the manner that he is the only fraccion that Nnoitra has. Tesla is an overall capable fighter with an emphasis on crushing his enemies.
One of Nelliel's two fraccion, Dondochakka appears as a childish polka-dotted masked hollow, but appearances can deceive. Dondochakka is actually a powerful fraccion whose brute strength and team attacks with Pesche can overwhelm the enemy.
One of Nelliel's two fraccion, Pesche seems very unreliable and weak, but that is just a front. When the situation gets serious, Pesche uses his hindering abilities and teamwork to overcome his adversaries.
One of the three fraccion of Tia Harribel, Sun-Sun is always calm and collected, but is very snide and sarcastic. Sun-Sun fights using various snakes and poisons, and is able to use those very same abilities to both attack and heal.
One of the three fraccion of Tia Harribel, Mila Rose can be calm and rational until aggravated by the enemy or her allies. Mila Rose fights with a broadsword in close combat and using her released form, can assault the entire enemy team.
One of the three fraccion of Tia Harribel; Apacci seems to be constantly angry and raging on about something. Apacci's abilities revolve swift defenses and protecting the team.
One of Barragan's fraccion; Charlotte is a flamboyant, feminine yet muscular and strong fighter. Charlotte prefers to fight enemies one on one, and his ultimate technique only helps to accomplish that.
Fraccion of the 2nd ranked Espada, Barragan; Avirama takes the form of the eagle in his fights. Avirama can take flight, which grants him a powerful defense while allowing him to attack multiple enemies at once and getting stronger as he loses his grip on the fight.
Fraccion of the 2nd ranked Espada, Barragan; Findorr is a cocky, overly confident fighter who bases his attacks around water. In battle, Findorr begins slow and weak, but as he shatters his mask, he grows stronger and stronger.
The top Fraccion of Barragan; Ggio is extremely loyal to Barragan and his cause. Ggio is an all around powerful warrior: swift, strong, versatile, and he only gets stronger as the battle rages on.
The 107th Arrancar is a Privaron Espada who fights with his fists. Gantebainne can deliver powerful swift punches that can break through defenses with ease.
The 105th Arrancar, Cirucci is an alluring, yet very rude and tomboyish Privaron Espada. Cirucci's basic attacks revolve around her zigzagging Yo-Yo. When she releases her Resurreccion, Cirucci becomes a mighty winged beast.
Dordonii Alessandro Socacchio
Ex-Espada and currently the 103rd Arrancar, Dordonii's casual goofy and eccentric personality is contrasted by his far more serious persona in battle. His Resurreccion allows him to focus his attacks on defensive as well as offensive skills.
A great beast of insane power summoned by Apacci, Mila Rose and Sun-Sun using a skill called Quimera Parca. Ayon possesses a nearly unlimited amount of power, but due to being a summoned monster, only has a limited lifetime before it expires.
A modified Arrancar created by Aizen to suit his purpose; Wonderweiss has had all logic, reason and emotion stripped off of him. In battle, Wonderweiss fights much as a child would, without fear of his own safety and without relenting for even a second.
Espada number 10 is overly aggressive, reckless and without any tactical sense, Yammy is the embodiment of rage. Yammy possesses few unique abilities, but his strength alone allows him to use Arrancar abilities with much prowess.
Espada number 9, and the only Gillian class Espada; Aaroniero is the only Espada that can evolve without limit and has nearly infinite potential. Aaroniero's unique ability allows him to absorb the skills of his enemies and unleash them back at them.
Szayel Aporro Granz
Espada number 8, the scientist of the Espada, Szayel is highly intelligent and infinitely sadistic. Szayel prefers to study his enemies from afar in order to learn their skills and abilities, and then later negate them, allowing his Fraccion to finish them off.
The 7th ranked Espada in Aizen's army; Zommari is eternally dedicated to Aizen's cause. Zommari's eyes have the power to control anything they set their gaze upon, whether it be stopping the enemy, or using their powers.
The temporary 6th Espada that replaced Grimmjow for a short period of time; arrogant and sarcastic, Luppi led the charge into the human world. Luppi's arrancar abilities allow him to strangle and stab multiple enemies.
Espada number 6 is a truly sadistic and extremely prideful arrancar that cares very little about authority, even Aizen's. Grimmjow's lethal melee attacks combined with his ultimate cero attack make him a formidable combatant.
The 5th Espada in Aizen's army; Nnoitra is rude, sexist and very aggressive. Normally, he wields a crescent moon axe, but when he releases, he gains a multitude of arms, each carrying its own deadly weapon.
Espada number 4, and the most heartless Espada of them all; Ulquiorra's cruel demeanor and calculated abilities make him a dangerous foe to any adversary. Ulquiorra fights at limited power, having no true desire to fight at his fullest, but even so his speed and strength are staggering.
The third ranked and only female Espada amongst Aizen's army. Tia's aspect amongst her peers is sacrifice, and this translates to the battlefield; as her allies fall, she rises to avenge them.
The second ranked Espada in Aizen's army. Barragan appears to be an old man that enjoys being in charge of the battlefield. Barragan's aspect of death is aging, which in his normal form allows him to control and slow down his enemies while spouting out orders.
The Primera Espada; Starrk is the strongest and highest ranked Espada in Aizen's army. Being the Primera Espada, Starrk is a very capable fighter, able to use a myriad of skills, however, he dislikes fighting, so unless the enemy initiates, he will have no interest in fighting seriously.
Having been pushed to the the limits of his annoyance, Szayel releases and prepares to use his true powers. Szayel is not a direct attacker, instead using various abilities to control and crush the enemy from afar.
After an intense battle with Ichigo, Grimmjow releases his true form. During his resurreccion, Grimmjow is able to hinder enemy skills with his darts and a powerful roar. Grimmjow is also able to deal massive damage with his trademark skill, Desgarron, which gets stronger when he is hurt.
Being brought into a one on one duel against Ichigo, Ulquiorra releases his Resurreccion to become a winged bat like creature. While fighting in this form, Ulquiorra can choose to fight aggressively, or defensively, depending on the situation he chooses.
Having released his form, Ulquiorra now presents a new danger, however unlike other Espada, Ulquiorra is the only one with a second release. With this second form, Ulquiorra can create powerful spears of energy, all while instantly regenerating against any and all damage against him.
Formerly the third ranked Espada, a devious plan by Nnoitra and Szayel caused her to revert into a child and lose all her powers. As a child, Nel is reduced to helping out her allies and only causing harm to enemies when she brings out bits of her former power.
Nelliel Tu Odelschwanck
Although deprived of her former power, through the power of love, Nel transforms back into her true age and form. With her strength returned, Nel becomes a tank, able to brush off and negate her enemies while breaking through their defense.
Wanting to end her battle quickly against the enemy, Harribel takes her true form, losing the majority of her clothing but gaining an immense new power. Harribel is capable of using any and all water as her weapon, dealing extremely massive damage, but only after she has gathered up enough water.
After having a tougher than expected fight against the Shinigami, Barragan reveals his true form, a skeletal-like visage of death. During his resurreccion, Barragan can rot his enemies' flesh while evaporating all potential attacks against him.
Having merged with his fraccion, Lilynette, Starrk now becomes whole, and unleashes his full power on his enemies. With Lilynette, Starrk is capable of using various cero based attacks, from gun shots to wolf explosions.
While most figured the Espada ranks went Ten through One, the truth is that they went Nine through Zero; Yammy being the Zero Espada; the strongest Espada. Yammy's power is gained through anger; the angrier he gets, the stronger he gets.
Having corrupted the meaning of justice, Tousen has given up his Shinigami ways and has become a pawn of Aizen. Having no longer any use of his bankai, Tousen relies on his physical and kidou abilities, along with his new found dark hollow powers.
Having underwent the Vizard training, Ichigo has now learned how to control the hollow inside of him and use it to increase his own power. This new power allows Ichigo to protect his friends and overwhelm his enemies effortlessly.
Although a cunning, intelligent hollow known as Inner Ichigo exists within Ichigo, another side of that hollow exists, the mindless, aggressive side. Hollow Ichigo is a rampaging beast that while difficult to control, hunts its enemies down without relent.
Born inside Ichigo, Inner Ichigo exists as a formless hollow spirit biding his time until his awakening. Inner Ichigo's fighting style consists of taking over anybody in his sight and weakening their own powers by infusing his own.
A Memory Rosary, an object that is made of memories of multiple souls; Senna takes the form of a cheerful, but stubborn young shinigami. When fighting, Senna takes the advantage of her wind-based Zanpakutou, creating tornadoes that can be used for both defensive and offensive purposes.
